Worrying is the first thing that mothers like me do whenever we find something wrong about our kids. The very first time Elijah got his vaccine, I almost cried because of his high fever despite of the fact that I am already aware about the effect of his vaccine.
July last year, mom decided to move out and find new apartment for us since our neighbors dogs are unfriendly and the house was too far from the main road. We used to have chickens and pet dogs there so bed bugs were anywhere. They bit Elijah and me causing many red marks all over our body. I don’t know what to do.
To date, I am suspecting bed bugs are here again because Elijah is having red marks in his body again. Tried using different repellent lotion but nothing works. Upon visiting Mom Center, an online community for mommies like me, I found Guard Insect Repellent Lotion in their list. Tried leaving them a message for a sample and luckily they replied back.
Guard is very effective against mosquitoes, fleas, flies and ticks and it lasts up to 6 hours. Unlike any other lotions, Guard is DEET-free. Deet is said to be harmful for it can dissolve plastic and rayon and originally used as a pesticide.
Guard has a very friendly scent like a baby powder so Elijah loves putting it in his arms and legs. I am not worrying anymore about insect bites even if his dad(Lloyd) bought a new pet dog. Elijah can now play with our pet anytime he wants as long as Guard is around.
With changing of bed sheets and disinfecting our room from time to time and having Guard insect repellent lotion, I feel much safer than ever.
It is available in sachet, 25 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml.
Directions for gentle protection: Pour the lotion onto palm and spread evenly on all exposed skin. Generously apply to arms, ahnds, legs and sensitive areas such as neck and face. Repeat application after 4-6 hours.
DEET : N N-Diethyl-meta-toluamide
