Early Years of Child Development

The early years are the most critical and considered as the building blocks for what is ahead. The time babies are born; there is already an immediate learning and response. Think of their brains as sponge and a tremendous growth is expected in the early months.

The growth is preferably known as “brain wiring.” All the experiences in the first few weeks, months and years are being laid down in this period of time. If good experiences are being introduced, the positive learning is being strengthened and the same happens the other way around.

The most important learning in this period is trust or attachment. Babies learn best if they feel someone is always at their side. This can as well be brought up when they grow older. However, particularly the same person should be more likely seen in the early months as that how trust works. How babies respond to relationships in the future is how you respond to your mother and baby relationship in the early years. The outcomes can be great for the coming future relationships but that depends on how you did it that is why first relationships are always critical.
