How to know when you are in labor

It is sometimes hard to determine if you are already giving birth especially to the first timer soon to be mother. How would you know if you are in labor and need to go the hospital?

When your contractions are every five minutes, call your doctor and tell her of the interval time. She would probably ask you to go to the hospital so she could check if you’re already diluted. And also you would know if you are really in labor when these signs are present:

• Nonstop lower back pain
• If while you are having contraction, your water bag breaks
• When the contraction interval is seven or five minutes apart and if it is stronger and last longer.

You may need a timer to know the intervals of your contraction. And never forget to call your doctor before going to the hospital. Be sure to bring your baby needs and yours also after giving birth.

  1. I thank my lucky stars that I never experienced going into labor. 😛 Both children were delivered via C-section. Chakai had a cord loop that prevented her from going into “labor” position and Lucas just had a big head. 😀 haha

When I got pregnant with Lucas, I had every intention of trying to deliver him normally, pwede na daw because it has been 6 years since I delivered Chakai and fully healed na ung wound from the C-section then, but alas, Lucas’ head was just too big. 😛

So, never felt any contractions or whatever kind of pain because they never got down to the pelvis area. 😀
