Summer Workshop for Kids

Summer is the most perfect time to enroll our kids in different workshops. It is because school is over and the weather is just fine. We do not have to deal with rainy days anymore. Having fun while learning is not a bad idea and I am sure kids will also love going to workshops not only because they will have the chance to discover new things and talents but also they are going to meet new set of friends. Yay!

I have been waiting for 2013 summer to come because for the past 2 years, Elijah was not suitable to join any kind of workshop. They told me to be back when he turns three. Summer is just 90 days away and I am beginning to feel happy and excited for my son.

There are lots of workshops that you and your kid can choose from. Some are free while others have fee, but whatever workshop you choose, I know it’s fun!

Swimming Lesson: I also want to enroll myself in a swimming lesson. Both Elijah and I may enroll this summer so we will learn at the same time. Enjoying the water with no fear will never be that fun.

Singing Workshop: Okay. Elijah is a very talented kid and given a great voice. I want him to discover more about his singing talent. Who knows it will bring him to stardom.

Acting/Modelling Workshop: This is usually given free by television networks but of course with limited slots. Kids are going to learn the basics of acting, modelling, dancing and even singing. Those who excel maybe given a chance to be a part of the television network as their regular talent.  They maybe seen in commercials or soap operas which is a great start for kids.

Ballet/Taekwondo Lesson: This is open for kids ages 3 and up. A workshop where you can learn the basics of self defense. Ballet and Taekwondo are open for both boys and girls, they can choose both if they want.

Art Workshop: I once attended a free art workshop. To tell you the truth I didn’t learn because I was not focused to the lesson, my mind was focusing in the swimming pool. I wanted to swim. Err. This is great for kids who shows passion to art. Those who are already good in drawing, colors and the likes. My niece is very good in arts and we can see her taking fine arts upon entering college. In this workshop, kids will learn the basics of drawing, coloring, identify a good angle of an art and so on.

When I was a kid, I also wanted to join a summer workshop but I was very shy to interact with other kids. My son will make my dream come true to be in a workshop. Even if I am not the one who is taking the lesson, at least I am there to take care of my son. Teehee.
