The increased hair growth during pregnancy is very visible in face, legs, underarms and pubic area. Many pregnant women want to remove hair through waxing than shaving.
Is waxing safe during pregnancy?
There is no evidence that waxing can be harmful during pregnancy. Because of the hormonal changes, a pregnant woman’s body is more sensitive so waxing is more painful than usual. Using lotion before and after can reduce swelling and redness. There maybe tinges of blood after wiping but it’s common so there is nothing to worry about. Go to a wax salon in the final stages of your pregnancy. Use ice after waxing to reduce pain.
Is it safe to use hair removal creams during pregnancy?
Hair removal creams may trigger allergic reactions because the skin is more sensitive. There is no evidence that active ingredients of hair removal creams are safe or unsafe. Do a patch test to ensure that your skin can tolerate the cream. Never use the ream on broken skin and choose a product especially formulated for sensitive skin.
Since we are not yet sure if the ingredients are safe or not, consider waxing, shaving and tweezing as other methods of hair removal.

Good thing I don’t have any excessive hair growth now that I’m pregnant. I hope it stays that way until I give birth. LOL.
