Prenatal Care Appointments

pinaymama · April 17, 2012 · Leave a Comment

My first prenatal check up was on a private clinic inside a mall, since I can’t afford to pay them anymore, I decided to visit the nearest public health center on my second check up until I gave birth. It depends on you on where your prenatal check ups will take place.

During the first and second trimester, you are asked to see you doctor monthly. On your third trimester, you have to see your doctor every two weeks until 36 weeks then weekly until your baby is born. They say the first prenatal check up is the longest since you have to provide information about your health, health history of your family which may affect your pregnancy and the likes. Only physical exam is done during check ups, no internal examinations are needed.

The goal of your prenatal check ups is to see how are you and the baby during the pregnancy. This is also to inform you the things you have to know what answer all the questions running in your mind. Do not miss your prenatal check ups. It’s very important to see your doctor even if you are feeling fine.
