The reason why we have to stay here in Bulacan is because no one will look after my youngest sister. Mom is working, his dad is applying for a new work and Nanay Fely (grandmother) is going to California on Monday. We’ve been staying here for almost a week now and it’s really great knowing that my mom is around whenever I need her.
It was a very busy week for us. Nanay Fely has to attend seminars and interview before she can ride an airplane and packing all her things in a box. It’s her first time with everything, the riding of airplane, interviews, and answering all the papers needed. She told us that the process was hard since she didn’t get any formal education at school. Nanay is having trouble in speaking and understanding English language. She’s afraid that the plane might leave her behind because she doesn’t know what to do. I told her that maybe there are video tutorials on the web that can help her when she’s inside the airport and waiting for the departure time. She’s afraid but you can see that she is also happy. Mixed emotions is running through her and as much as possible, we want her to calm down.
Her son told her to put name tags on with her name and where is she going upon reaching California. She doesn’t know how to use a cellphone so I am not sure how is she going to meet her son in law in there. They talked about it already for sure.
I can feel her. She’s getting emotional when talking about her two son. She’s going to California while the two will stay here in the Philippines. It will also be their first time to part ways. I hope to see them all happy with Nanay Fely’s migration abroad. It will benefit them all in the long run.
