- Change in bowel or bladder habits
- A sore that does not heal
- Unusual bleeding or discharge
- Thickening or lump in the breast or elsewhere
- Indigestion or difficulty in swallowing
- Obvious change in wart or mole
- A nagging cough or hoarseness
- Unexplained anemia
- Sudden unexplained weight loss
Do not hesitate to contact your doctor if you experience any of the signs above. Early detection of cancer gives you a better chance of survival. Many cancer types do not show obvious signs or symptoms but with the nine warning signals given above, it will help you know when to see your doctor for consultation. Remember that early prevention is always better than cure or treatment.
