Your Baby’s first Word

pinaymama · August 15, 2012 · Leave a Comment

As your child is growing up, you are excited to hear his first word, what it will be. Babies generally utter their first word at the age of 11 to 14 months when they learn to understand and match up the names of the things around them. And you have to help him with this stage. Name the thing that interests him. Like if you are reading, tell him that what you’re holding is a book. Or if you see a dog passing by, point at it and say “dog”.

Usually the child utters the first word after his first birthday and you will be delighted to hear it and you will be so proud. Just keep teaching him the things that is around him and you will be amazed on how fast he can learn to say it. And after that, you will be more excited to hear his first sentence.
