There are three types of postpartum depression. The baby blues, which is the most common form after giving birth. Significant number of daddies are also suffering from baby blues before or after child birth. Second is the postnatal depression, a depressive feeling after having a baby. It includes tearfulness and feeling of failure. The last one is the puerperal psychosis, also called as post natal psychosis. It strikes during the first two weeks after giving birth. It includes extreme depressions and hallucinations about the baby that requires professional psychiatric treatment.

From what I had experienced after giving birth, I can’t tell that it was post partum depression or let me say that I never feel depressed after all. I am happy. Yes, I was laughing that time because they keep on telling jokes at me. There is no way for me to be depressed, I mean, Elijah is with me now, I can carry him through my arms and breastfeed  him. What’s depressing with that?
