My mom bought us a carpet when I was still in elementary. We seldom use it now since we have two toddlers in the house. They will only write and put dirt on it. I don’t think we need a carpet replacement since it’s still in good condition.
I remember when we used to sleep every afternoon in the carpet. It’s very comfortable. Too bad we can no longer use it now because the floor is too cold. The carpet can’t keep us warm. A college friend also gave her carpet to us when she moved back to her hometown. She can’t carry her things so she decided to give it.
I wish to have my mom’s carpet when we have our very own house. She’s good in taking care of things and I want to be like that. Before moving here to our new place, my mom gave away our sofa set, kitchen utensils and bedroom things to our relatives. It very surprising when I see our things still in good condition. I guess being careful runs in the blood and I am very proud to say that I am part of this family.
Hope Elijah won’t destroy his things so we can share it to his cousins in the future.

You do save a lot of money when you are careful with your things. They last for generations, even the memories that go with those things.
