It was a rainy day just like last year but it didn’t stop us from going to the hospital to share some love. This time we have my mother, youngest sister Lexene, cousin Apple and some of Lloyd’s friends to help us in distributing diapers and baby stuff. The maternity charity ward was crowded, some of the patients have to share beds but they didn’t seem to mind. I cannot forget those women who just lost their baby. We are not prepared, we didn’t know what to give so we just say our condolences. They smiled back at us but I know they were in pain. There were four of them. I cannot imagine myself having a miscarriage and be surrounded with wonderful babies, it must be hard. On a brighter note, we saw lots of twin babies and all of them are looking healthy. They are small and cute.
We chose two lucky babies (one baby boy and baby girl) who received diapers, blankets, shoes, clothes and toys. Baby boy Xyrus Kyle Lachica was delivered normally at 4:34 am by attending physician Dr. Jhorose R. Gementiza and nurse Joselito Datud. He weighed 2.22 kilos and the third child of Maria Theresa Nejal and Mark Anthony Lachica of 011 BGH Compund, Baguio City. Baby girl Jamaliya Macapudi was also delivered normally at 2:30 am by the same attending physician and nurse. He is 2.7 kilos and the second child of Samira Lantud and Jamal Macapudi of Middle Rock Quarry, Baguio City.
