How Do You Celebrate Your Baby’s First Christmas?

There is nothing more exciting than to have a new baby during holiday season. It is the time we have family or friend reunions so they get the chance to see your newborn. Isn’t that great? We all have different ways on celebrating Christmas and it has to be the one we have to remember the rest of our lives. Newborn babies won’t be actively participating yet but they will do enjoy the Christmas lights, decorations and music. They will only be able to see those colorful decorations if they are about 8 to 14 inches away from their eyes.

Elijah celebrated his first Christmas when he was 3 months old. It was just like a normal day for us since we do not go out to the mall or park. We stayed inside the house doing our usual routine, to play until he gets tired. It was one of few days in my life that I regret because of doing nothing. If ever I can turn back time, I will surely make it special for both of us. SOCKS. It was one of the fews things I remember about my childhood Christmas. My cousins and I were hanging socks during Christmas Eve because we believe Santa has something special for each and everyone of us. On the day itself, we will open it and find money and chocolates. Oh what a happy Christmas it was for us. Although we do not ask for gifts, we had fun by playing games and reward ourselves with candies. I failed for not making all Elijah’s firsts to be special but I make sure that every single day will be filled with great memories.
