Family Friendly Places to Stay in the Philippines

pinaymama · November 23, 2017 · Leave a Comment

One of the many great things about visiting the Philippines is its family-friendly vacation destinations.  It’s true that Manila captures the attention of many travelers, but it’s not necessarily a favorite for family travelers. Thankfully, there are plenty of other incredible options for families on vacation. In particular, Boracay and Bohol are two popular destinations known as excellent family vacation spot. Keep reading for AllTheRooms  guide to family-friendly places to stay in the Philippines.

Bohol

One of the favorite family vacation destinations in the Philippines, most know Bohol for the native and cute bug-eyed tarsiers (small primates native to Southeast Asia), which the kids will love. The island offers incredible value for being such a gorgeous locale, and provides plenty of activities for the whole family. Scuba diving (and the beach itself) is a major draw for visitors as a safe and fun activity for guests of all ages and all levels of experience.

The Amun Ini Beach Resort & Spa receives universal praise from guest families. The service here is out of this world – one guest reported returning from the resort after a day out to find a home-baked banana cake, flowers, a present and balloons all to celebrate their son’s birthday. The resort has its own scuba diving school on the beach. You and your family will see all kinds of life underwater, from sea turtles to colorful fish to bright corals.

The Peacock Garden is another favorite for families visiting Bohol. Guests report being treated “like royalty”. The “infinity pool” at this resort is a joy for both adults and children – some guests prefer it to the beach! The food at the resort gets very high marks for its fusion of Thai, Filipino and German cuisine, and kids love the chocolate spaghetti. Guests also enjoy the “essential bliss” spa experience, which is even available to children. Also for the kids, there are areas to play ping pong, football and darts.

Boracay

Boracay is one of the most visited places in the Philippines. It’s an especially popular destination for families due to its gorgeous beaches. White Beach and Bulabog Beach are beloved by families. The beaches are exceptionally clean with their pristine white sand. The kids can enjoy paddling, kitesurfing, and playing in the sand from sunrise to sunset.

Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort & Spa is a luxury resort near Bulabog Beach. Guests report feeling as though they’re on their own private island here, and describe the service and accommodations as world-class. Rooms here are spacious and feature excellents view of the sea. Kids can swim the entire day in multiple pools with lifeguards on duty, in addition to a large indoor play area.

The District Boracay is a more affordable resort that guests describe as “perfect for families”.  Families love the close proximity to White Beach – close enough to the beach to be a short walk away, while far enough away to sleep soundly at night. Visitors love the free kids life jackets and beach toys, and round-the-clock lifeguard duty. The restaurant offers plenty of options for the whole family, as well.
